Silence
They say
Silence speaks louder than words
And boy is that true
The laughter that was between us
Has gone silent
We went from nonstop talking
To fleeting glances
I know that I made a comment I shouldn’t have
But does that measure up to what you are doing to me?
I don’t think it does
You already took my love
And crushed it
And then burned it again
By dating someone else
After 2 weeks of breaking up with me
And then you go and do this
Radio silence
I know I was snarky
But my emotions were high
Because I felt replaced
Betrayed
Now I feel alone
My blade becoming a friend again
After you made me push it away
I hope you are happy, I really am
But sometimes
I wish you looked at me
And read my mind again
See that I’m slowly dying inside
Break that silence
And speak
Silence speaks louder than words
And boy is that true
The laughter that was between us
Has gone silent
We went from nonstop talking
To fleeting glances
I know that I made a comment I shouldn’t have
But does that measure up to what you are doing to me?
I don’t think it does
You already took my love
And crushed it
And then burned it again
By dating someone else
After 2 weeks of breaking up with me
And then you go and do this
Radio silence
I know I was snarky
But my emotions were high
Because I felt replaced
Betrayed
Now I feel alone
My blade becoming a friend again
After you made me push it away
I hope you are happy, I really am
But sometimes
I wish you looked at me
And read my mind again
See that I’m slowly dying inside
Break that silence
And speak
