I'm fine

I’m fine! Can’t you see? That I’m living life normally?
That I’m still I living, human being, with a normal family?
I’m fine! Can’t you see? That I still have both hands?
That I have yet to lose them in an accident or crash?

I’m fine! Can’t you see?  That I’m not going crazy?
That I’m not in a mental hospital or straitjacket?
I’m fine! Can’t you see? That I’m still studying?
Working relatively hard and sometimes relaxing?

So why in the world did you ask, ‘how are you?’
Before talking to me, have you thought your words through?
Maybe you saw my heart, which was in the deep blue…
Stained and tattered, like an old tattoo.  

Personally I would answer ‘how are you’ with:
I’m betrayed, I’m broken and pathetic.
I’m useless. I’m fragile and defeated.
I’m lonely, confused and rejected.

I’m falling apart and you don’t notice
I’ve tried, but you never heard my voice
I’m just waiting for the days to pass by

Just waiting for the time I will die
Just telling you that I feel fine,
Because right now my life is ‘divine’
