You should tie me down:
It’s the least you could do.
Instead, you leave me to wander around
Bleary-eyed,
Groping,
Blindly reaching out for anything,
Anything at all,
But finding nothing,
Nothing at all.
The emptiness greets my fingertips eagerly.
I doubt you have even noticed that I am dying.
Literally.
Look at me,
Stumbling around town.
How humiliating!
Suddenly I drop
In a heap on the ground
Crumpled and small.
I’ve outdone myself this time.
What a scene!
Typical.
