A Darkness
There exists a darkness so great in this world,
Which with its power poor man is crushed or hurled,
A darkness so fierce and devilishly savage,
Never a whole man remains of those it doth ravage,
An ominous void one can hardly escape,
Each victim encircled within its harrowing drape,
An iron noose wound around his neck so tight,
Some have made it, but she had given up the fight,
Living in grief, the constant pain and fear,
Rarely a day goes by without shedding a tear,
They put up resistance and for life they will fight,
Though many will surrender to that blinding light,
One death after another in a horrid succession,
All of them victims of blood-thirsty depression.
