Hold Me

When she pulled the trigger
I saw it, a flash of light
Two tone like heaven and hell
Go figure, I swore I'd never tell
Tell her that I was sorry
For everything...
That all I wanted to do
Was hear her sing
Like her mother did
Before I accidentally killed her...
Sent her to heaven, I'll never see her
For I belong in hell, no story to tell
Just a hired gun gun who stands here crying
As his daughter is about to kill a man
Raised her just like me, the best I can
What a fucking idiot I am
To take this little girls life away
I should have never given her the choice
So before she can kill this man, ruin her life
I jump in the way to end our strife
As I see the flash from the barrel
The flash from her eyes, a cry of "no"
For a second everything was so slow, then I saw a light
I saw your mother, a split second before another
As I fell from my soul, down the blackest of holes
I see the man in the distance run up
And stab her while she stares at my lifeless form
She slumps over my body...what have I done
In death locked in embrace, she did care
What a fool I was
She's up there happy now, she deserves no less
With her mother, I can barely see them now
Goodbye daughter, I love you
With the deepest parts of my heart
I burn for you
