The Water Queen
She lowers herself into the tub
Displacing the water beautifully
She begins to dream, the warmth rising
There's the fade of the day
The release of everything that troubled her
The water reminding her that she's a woman
Perhaps a queen
Her man enters, in awe of her beauty
He can only kneel and administer his own form of love
The cleansing ritual now in his hands
She smiles and acknowledges her subject's adoration
And relaxes further,
At ease in her reign.

Thank you, Belle. Personally, I prefer showers. There's something about the steady stream and pulse of the water that's very, ah, stimulating. But I can go either way.

Great comment. I hadn't thought of the maternal quality, but your right. There is nothing more comforting. Thanks.

Good point. Maybe I'll encourage her to take a shower, maybe join her, then we'll really take our time. Thanks for the comment, Ms. Jackson.

It's way different, when you're hand pouring water and ministering from just outside the water. Brings you a lot closer in. Thanks for releasing this one crowfly.

Simply amazing.
What a vivid picture of the woman you drew.It reminded me of those olden days of mine.Great words picked with a simple but powerful style.
