Death
One day I will find you.
I will find you at the dawns last breath.
I will find you in a bed of roses.
I will feel you tell my thoughts instead.
Instead of my voice it will be silence.
I will find you anyway.
The persistence in me has won you over.
I have no words left I can say.
The whisper nurturing your ear
so softly told you of my pain.
The relief eliminated all the fear
when finally, you did call my name.
Merely a single grain of sand
along a coastline of sandy shore,
my absence is of no concern tomorrow.
My presence belongs to death evermore.
