In the movies
life is always moving
love is always the real thing
and I use my head
I'll never have a cookie-cutter sequence
I'll never have a tempted sickness
Swelling with a splinter
Life will never get easier
In the movies
Life is sweet and never sour
love is always tart then an ectasy
and I use my head
There will never be an end
to a sucked-up potential
to a violent chronicle
to a movement of ignornace
There'll never be a hall pass
to a life in hand cuffs
Life will always be rough
and stangely enough
I accept it
In the movies...

For your age this poem shows a lot of insight and depth although you wouldn't even be here at this site if you didn't have those qualities already. My poetry started out like your in many ways and I spent a lot of time thinking about subjects and organizing my thoughts. Well thought out and planned, keep on reading and especially, writing. Experience and pain in life are cruel but great masters. I know.
Yes it's always best in the movies .. it's good you know who you are and don't fall for the fake that is portrayed there..wonderful..peace Brenda

thank you both. :) Movies are, to me, a sort of propaganda set up to get our hopes up for the inevitable. Life is never so, glistfully perfect, unhumiliating, it's quite the opposite. A lot of movies never show the REAL, RAW parts of life that include much much more passion and honesty.
