The flower
I awake covered in a heady enamor
And hurried steps to the garden drear
Before great light, in morning ere
When blurs in vision perceive as clear
I gazed the flower in the midst so fair,
That shy belle beautiful over there,
And to love the colorful I had ne'er
Wished to dream and in Agape so bare.
She swayed in the wind though unwillingly,
And it adorned her well I do agree.
And though unlike the lilies to me,
Still, beautiful, more than eyes can see.
I scorned with a smile, the wild blossom
Amid the lilies here also fair
The change in me, I feel, I'm aware
I admire the flower so shy and rare.
And hurried steps to the garden drear
Before great light, in morning ere
When blurs in vision perceive as clear
I gazed the flower in the midst so fair,
That shy belle beautiful over there,
And to love the colorful I had ne'er
Wished to dream and in Agape so bare.
She swayed in the wind though unwillingly,
And it adorned her well I do agree.
And though unlike the lilies to me,
Still, beautiful, more than eyes can see.
I scorned with a smile, the wild blossom
Amid the lilies here also fair
The change in me, I feel, I'm aware
I admire the flower so shy and rare.
