Eyes That Rain
A darkened look from eyes that rain,
She thinks that I don't see.
That Phone of hers stuck to her ear,
A trembling voice filled with pain.
A guttural tone of anguished hurt,
How can I look away.
She caught me then as I looked her way,
I wish that I could flirt.
It's not the time and not the place,
To flirt and smile in vain.
But I cannot help but smile,
When I see her pretty face.
She softens now and turns to me,
A girl without a fear.
I know that look and feel her gaze,
It makes me bend a knee.
We're happy now, live without pain
In sunny land of love
It's just a wonder what I could see
Through darkened eyes that rain.
