I'm not the man
I'm not the man who can give you the world
I can only see it with you
Walking side by side through every path you take
I'm not the man who can promise you the stars
I can only gaze upon them with you
Wishing on every passing one
I'm not the man who can give you the moon
I can only promise you wont spend it's light alone
And spend it in our own world of fantasy
I'm not the man who can give you everything
I can only give you my heart
It's me
It's all I have

And that's all anyone should want anyway! Pure, sweet love that is true. I personally hate those unrealistic notions of 'I can give you the world, the moon and stars' etc. Yuck. Just a bunch of empty words that mean nothing but people like them because they sound pretty. That's how I feel anyway. So, for that, I enjoyed this poem! You added realism to those sentiments. Beautiful, authentic. :)
