In the woods
[font=Tahoma,Geneva]
We listened to the rain's mist
flick off the stones
surrounding us:
White noise
gradually stepping
into
silence.
We laughed at the quiet
to fill each other's empty
ear drums
our own comforting hymn
vibrating through the fog.
Up close
your face was still clouded
and I asked myself
what it meant to be lost.
