Lost

Beyond my dreams it stirs
Shadows just out of sight circling
My soul forever cursed

Words stuttered and mispronounced lingering still in the air
The liers-in-wait slowly closing in

Like a bolt of lightning
I feel it take it's grasp
A scream filling my brain
But all I can hear is a laugh

The horizon bleeding
Black clouds and cold air
My breath beginning to freeze as it exits my mouth

The circle on the ground broken by stumbling feet
The alter on fire and spilled between
Me and the gates inscription the world dimming away

Soon I see the eyes of a millennia's disfigured face
I ran and tried to forget just what has been done
My dreams now haunted and the shadows overstrung
With images of darkness waiting for their turn
To abuse my everything oh god it hurts

I don't have an answer
But I know they follow me everyday
Words I have written are not words that I know
Scared to close my eyes
Lost forever with them using me as their door

Oh please Marduk help me------ Enki please step in
I was just an ignorant child when I opened the gate, that lets them in.....

I'm tired now so I'll drink and take as many pills as I can
Tomorrow I hope to wake and realize this was all nothing
