Walking Through the Earth
I’m walking through the earth,
touching waterfalls that
regard my silhouetted as a path,

shuffling through the leaves,
moving toward a gate that was left open,
touching waterfalls that
regard my silhouetted as a path,
hidden in places that eyes never see,
There are whispers all around me,
looking at the walls, and how
the light's spilling over the seams ―
elements synthesized by nuclear burning,
I’m walking through the earth,
from under the ages, unafraid,
shuffling through the leaves,
moving toward a gate that was left open,
