The taste of Salt
Tell me
What can a strong woman do
With a heart that's been shot down
And dragged by her feet?
Sorrow feeds me every night.
I am never left to starve
The man I love grasps my heart in his hands
To stab, slit and carve
Thanks for all the pain
I'm sure I'm going insane
You tend to kill me slowly
Like the wickedest cancer
I'm just a ghost wife
In this wretched marriage house
I want to be deleted
It's unremarkable how
True love
Can hastily turn
Into true hatred
You rob my tears
And create a salty lake
For every time you hurt me
Your lake earns a fish
You're evil and invincible..
The dents and cracks
The hurt I live with everyday
Can never be fixable
What can a strong woman do
With a heart that's been shot down
And dragged by her feet?
Sorrow feeds me every night.
I am never left to starve
The man I love grasps my heart in his hands
To stab, slit and carve
Thanks for all the pain
I'm sure I'm going insane
You tend to kill me slowly
Like the wickedest cancer
I'm just a ghost wife
In this wretched marriage house
I want to be deleted
It's unremarkable how
True love
Can hastily turn
Into true hatred
You rob my tears
And create a salty lake
For every time you hurt me
Your lake earns a fish
You're evil and invincible..
The dents and cracks
The hurt I live with everyday
Can never be fixable
