Daydreaming at dawn
the campanile is passing by
time to change over
dropping into my favourite bar
for a quick caffè doppio
then heading further south
the Arsenale is waiting for me
gondolas lurking far beyond but
I have to get off the commuter train

I wonder what's 'Non-' about the 'Venetian'? The description is applicable to Venice (admit I have not been there).

The campanile,the Arsenale and the gondolas described therein are all of non-Venetian origin :-).

it's a brief trip through a city of procurement. but the train has a schedule to keep...
