False Beauty
Its dissapointing that you cover your head with a mask so that no one can see the real you
but with my x-ray eyes i can see right through.
you hide your hair under someone eles's now how sick does that sound?
you apply a new face with paint thats only for clowns
do you not appreciate or accept your own shroud?
are you so eager to impress the crowd?
are you to lazy to work for your own mound?
you are lost but will be found
it seems the mask is starting to form your face
I try to pull it off but its skin braced.
so i guess I'll just walk way and end this rhyme
with a thought that things will change over time.

i say this not having a full view of you as a poet yet, but something you can look into is taking your verse out of the realm of dialogue. even just as practice. interesting things result when you take something like this and try remove what excess words you can while leaving the meaning intact. then mold it into something more...traditional...just to see where it takes you. this works both ways and sometimes you can keep going back and forth endlessly...with tact.
i also do alot of writing like this, as a speaker to a specific person. look at the message you're conveying unobjectively. don't see the speaker, don't see the reciever. remove yourself from the equation. i cant go too much further without revealing some trade secrets but you can do almost anything with/to it at that point
