Heart Weeps

Night falls,
evening calls,
as i lay my weary head to sleep.
The refuge of sleep eludes me,
grief consumes me,
instead of sleep i can only weep,
rivers of tears of sorrow.
Dreading tomorrow, what it brings,
thoughts like gushing waters,
thoughts like molten lead,
flow through my head.
My soul twisted in anguish and grief,
rivers of tears of sorrow,
consumed, suffocating.
I can only scream inside my head,
Why Lord? Oh why?
In this existence i know,
it's an answere i'm not supposed to know.
So as these thoughts like molten lead flow through my head,
and the rushing waters crash,
and my heart weeps rivers of tears of sorrow.
I console myself with memories,
so happy and full of joy,
painful,
i cherish them.
Nothing and no-one can take them,
forever in my heart you stay.
Even when the rivers of tears of sorrow flow.
