That Damned Divide!
A working class boy,
raised in a working class scheme.
Here's one thing it seems to me,
to be the main theme.
If that's your roots,
you'll always be deemed,
one of the unclean.
Class divide,
still oh so so wide.
No matter what you do,
try harder than they can conceive,
get educated, get employed.
They'll still look down upon you!
Half a decade dedicated,
to university and preparation.
In those elitist eyes,
your nothing but scum.
Looked upon with derision,
this thing's called "class division"!

You Decide.
Honour, Dignity, Pride?
You can decide,
maybe you'll be snide,
possibly even deride?
As i said,
it's for you to decide.
Honour. Dignity. Pride.
Basic human courtesy,
manners, respect, politeness,
is for me,
the guidelines of how to live my life.
Be polite,
keep to your word,
be gentle and kind.
Never compromise yourself,
keep this in mind.
Show compassion,gratitude,
try being altruistic,
and always be humble.
Gracious in defeat,
humble in Glory as they say!
Of course, all this will never make your life...
You can decide,
maybe you'll be snide,
possibly even deride?

DARK POEM

Heart Weeps
Night falls,
evening calls,
as i lay my weary head to sleep.
The refuge of sleep eludes me,
grief consumes me,
instead of sleep i can only weep,
rivers of tears of sorrow.
Dreading tomorrow, what it brings,
thoughts like gushing waters,
thoughts like molten lead,
flow through my head.
My soul twisted in anguish and grief,
rivers of tears of sorrow,
consumed, suffocating.
I can only scream inside my head,
Why Lord? Oh why?
In this existence i know,
it's an answere i'm not supposed to know.
So as these thoughts like molten...

Amidst the Storm
Standing alone,
suspended in time,
ocean waves crash violently'
an ocean of sorrow,
powerful,
faceless faces appear,
disappear.
Evil intentions,
strong as the ocean waves,
the sea of blood around me rages.
Bloodsoaked i face the storm,
alone, suspended in time,
in my own,
repetative living hell.
Again the faces materialise,
but swiftly melt away again,
the rainstorm of blood,
washes them away.
I rage against the storm,
against the evil, the hatred,
it rages back,
the storm intensifies,
the rain and the...

The Braes "part 1"
Admiring one of the most beautiful sights.
Watching and absorbing in the beauty,
only a lucky few get to see.
Glasgows drab grey tenements,
poverty stricken high rise flats,
spread out below.
Sitting in silence,
admiring this stunning view.
No need for words, silent ,serene and trouble free.
A sea of orange glowing light fills the horizon,
panoramic radiating scenery,
a quiescense unsurpassed.
Akin to a gift from a higher being,
a special memory.
Glasgow, beautiful in all it's splendour,
a memory, a view, cherished and treasured....

Death Leaves no Answers
Out of the darkness,
Death came tumbling down,
with the intention of wreaking,
Death, Destruction, Harrowing pain
and Tragedy.
Quick as a snipers bullet.
Out of the black night sky,
Death came ploughing down.
Like an angel fallen from Grace,
it's left our hearts in pieces,
filled with pain, sorrow and sadness.
Out of the darkness,
It stole our loved ones away.
It had nothing to say.
It left no explanation.
No answeres as to why.
Only pain, sorrow and sadness.
My soul now twisted, contorted,
by sorrow, tragedy, and pain....
