THE LAST RAINS
The music upholding the deep counters
beat after beat
drop after drop
my disturbing mind is illuminated with the sound of its unsinkable thirst
down it goes
through the holes
March across notes and music, rhythmic applause and faint chants
clap and clap
sound and sound
where mother warns my clothes to stay tuck and not too wet
splash splash splash.
I cannot tell the line dividing the blue and green
but nature is here and holds along a sky
where it bears children that sing the songs
songs of birth, anew to death
Healing wounds and harden frowns
all shall believe the last falling rains.
