Poem 420
It's a stoner's holiday
But far away from drugs I stay
How do I know about it?
I did some research I must admit
It's legal where I live, but few pay heed
that only those 21 and older can purchase recreational weed
Though I am pro marijuana for medical reasons
I'm firmly against those who use it for all seasons
A strange way to think, I know
But that's how my story tends to go
My Mom was a stoner but I don't like the stuff
But I'm not my mother I'd never, EVER take a puff
I love my friends and my Mom but I don't like what they do
But I won't step in between them and the path they pursue
I am neither for nor against it, it's none of my concern
If you want to light up a blunt and puff on it as it does burn
Just don't do it around me, I don't want to see it
I want plausible deniability I have to admit
If I don't see you do it then cops can't question me about it anymore
So for the sake of our friendship keep it behind a closed door
So party on and please try to be safe, as much as you can be
Because I really don't want to see you in a coffin, baby
But far away from drugs I stay
How do I know about it?
I did some research I must admit
It's legal where I live, but few pay heed
that only those 21 and older can purchase recreational weed
Though I am pro marijuana for medical reasons
I'm firmly against those who use it for all seasons
