"I'm covering my ears like a kid when your words mean nothing I go la la la I'm turning up the volume when you speak cause if my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it I go la la la...."
La la Love you say you love me how much does love really mean to you you seem to throw it out there without a care in the world so effortlessly trying to create so much meaning and emotion from pure bullshit you disregarded the fact that I bruise easily when I asked you to please take care of me but I of course am the dumb one I should've just left you alone when my gut instinct told me to but you were a temptation I couldn't stay away from and look at all the damage done you are nothing but a liar every time you tried to speak to me after I found out who you really are I cover my ears and scream la la la I don't want to hear the lies you claim you love me but you don't you'll claim I mean everything to you but I don't I never did just another pretty image in your gallery of conquests you have no heart and maybe you never had one at all because you are really evil and that's how I know for a fact your words mean nothing so i'll block everything that involves you out scream and shout out loud la la la so I can find a way to stop it well you, your lies, your bullshit, you but if you ever say something that I think might be worth listening to i'll turn the volume up not for the sound around us but for the volume of you speaking so I can hear clearly all the shit that is about to fall out of your mouth you are a linguist in training with a pretty face that lures unsuspecting victims a spider demon a huge temptation that I know how to fight I know how to block you out I go la la la cause I found my way to block you

That's pretty cool. I thought you read the poem really well and the singing and video you put together was really cool.
My only suggestion is to think about structuring your poem. Most slam poets ignore the importance of structure in a poem and often use punctuation instead. But for your free verse poet, structure is critical for spoken word, it helps the reader to know when to pause.
I usually don't worry about structure until I've finished getting the bulk of my poem on paper, then it's as simple as reading the poem out aloud and starting a new line or stanza at a pause or extended pause.
