I've given my body
like a sacrifice
a prayer to be loved
never understanding
intimacy, but touch was
never enough.
coldness in the warmth
of skin against skin
silence
always the silence
waiting for the end
but you kiss me slowly
touching my skin
you whisper gently
and draw me in
wrapped in your warmth
never ashamed
wrapped in your arms
this silence in safe
