Reality

Every day I wonder how my life could be different.
Like I need some 'third-eye' drops just to clear up my vision.
But vision is perception, the ultimate weapon...
To see the world for what it is, nowhere near perfection.
So I struggle to pretend that I don't really care,
When I see fake people, masks, facades everywhere.
I hope one day soon everyone will be enlightened,
And be proud of themselves, not ashamed or just frightened.
Remember when you had dreams, goals, and ambitions?
Now, pills, sex, and greed are the only ones that you mention.
It's sick, and it's true, and I scream how I hate it...
But the world keeps laughing in my face, try to erase it.
You can't erase yourself or who you've already become,
The road that you've walked down, or ran backwards for fun.
No changing those life lessons, or little encounters,
Next time slow it down just so you can smell the flowers.
Keep an open mind while you learn to silence your mouth,
Learn to appreciate your life, before you fill it with doubt.
I promise you I've been there, and you will go too,
Just don't stay too long, or you will never be you.
Full potential is never achieved, especially these days...
So use that fucking brain and think in all ways.
All angles, all sides, and all possibilities,
Might keep you alive long enough to start feeling me.
This earth is ours: atrocious, hollow, and black,
Now let's finally move forward and no turning back.
Believe in yourself and not some fairytale idol,
Retaining happiness in yourself will always be vital
