My heart is expansive
as a mountain
life as full of
troughs and peaks
as the Pentlands
Ah dinnae ken
whether ma image
will reflect in your pupils
yince mair
love tends tae rip
us fae beloved soil
like roots
fae the grund
Ach weil
yer voice cairries
the music of
becomin
further thinn
ma words kin
which feel aside yours
gey paper thin.
