the fears of those for Your own sake?
how many hearts must You break
to see Yourself in his eyes?
how much angst must he endure?
what percentage is finally pure
enough to know You're truly sure
to see Yourself in his mind?
can You believe just for a day?
what more does he have to say?
or is the price too great to pay
to see Yourself in his heart?
how much more must he write
for You to keep him in Your sight?
or is it just not worth the fight
to see Yourself in his soul?
