We are something
Yet we are nothing
So small in the universe
So grand within our minds
Like a grain of sand in the desert
Like a single leaf on a tree
In this multitude of energy
Our life journeys can be traced
Like a raindrop in the ocean
Like black in blackest space
We are here
Yet we're invisible
A spot of paint on a mural
A single hair upon a head
We're a part of something bigger
Than anyone's ever guessed
There is a bigger picture
In which everything resides
You, me, and all things forever
Are a small part of something better
If only we could step outside of it
To look upon the big picture
Understand it
Admire it
And know that we're a part
of what makes it such
a splendor
Yet we are nothing
So small in the universe
So grand within our minds
Like a grain of sand in the desert
Like a single leaf on a tree
In this multitude of energy
Our life journeys can be traced
Like a raindrop in the ocean
Like black in blackest space
We are here
Yet we're invisible
A spot of paint on a mural
A single hair upon a head
We're a part of something bigger
Than anyone's ever guessed
There is a bigger picture
In which everything resides
You, me, and all things forever
Are a small part of something better
If only we could step outside of it
To look upon the big picture
Understand it
Admire it
And know that we're a part
of what makes it such
a splendor
