Arrows
You sent black arrows
Through my blazing heart
They flew for miles
Till they finally dropped
They went through hedges
Over Mountain tops
Till they finally stopped at her
You sent Red Roses
To my mailbox
They came from gardens
All around the block
But the time was ticking and
The clocks hands stopped
When you found your way to her
You sent emotions
Of the scarring kind
Tears were streaming
Out of these eyes so blind
And although time has passed
I can’t help but sigh
Every time an arrow flies past my window…
Through my blazing heart
They flew for miles
Till they finally dropped
They went through hedges
Over Mountain tops
Till they finally stopped at her
You sent Red Roses
To my mailbox
They came from gardens
All around the block
But the time was ticking and
The clocks hands stopped
When you found your way to her
You sent emotions
Of the scarring kind
Tears were streaming
Out of these eyes so blind
And although time has passed
I can’t help but sigh
Every time an arrow flies past my window…
