Lumbee

Lumbee:

The black dove: unique and adored

She had experienced: all the love she could… endure

Cooing and swooning: she searched, and searched… just looking

The black dove growing tired and bored; she knew it: she knew, there had to be…something…more

The old Lumbee said “Come here my sweet: and perch here… next to me”

“Settle yourself; and speak”

“I am very good: at this (I will listen)”

“You are but… women”

“Black dove, sweet black dove; it is not the love you get… have you not learned yet?”

The old Lumbee said “honey…it…is…the, LOVE . . .  I decide to give”
