Keep your head above water

The flow flows fluently in my rhyme/
my words so beautifully intertwine/
you can hear me tear in this line/
sometimes I feel like pullin' a nine/
deep reflections, feel fear in my mind/
ill connections, my mental health decline/
lately lost grip of reality and time/
never understood the treacherous sign/

sometimes you up, sometimes you down/
enemies keep comin’ for your crown/
your success will make them drown/
lookin' back, look like a clown/
sometimes I feel like leaving town/
leaving all this shit behind/
never thought a good heart was a crime/
forget I was blessed with the best of time/
all gone in a mist of a confused mind/
"living is not the same as being alive"/

some got it tough/ others got it tougher/
yet, I don’t bluff/ sometimes I suffer/
nobody will ever know how life will be/
fortunately, the future you cannot see/
I can’t offer you much, but my loyalty/
can't carry the burden/ life hurtin'/
in life only death is certain/
