Vampire Love Letter
What could one bite do?
What could it hurt?
There are greater transgressions to bear,
Such as the pain and suffering of mediocrity.
Living a life limp without passion,
Without satisfaction.
Trade in your melancholy for one inoculating kiss,
There is nothing in the world more salvaging.
Sacrifice your muted misery and hollow hallucinations
For this sobering panacea of unheralded ecstasy.
Allow me to augment you,
Let your blood burn!
Give me your hand,
Let me quell the hopelessness
And quench the unforgiving maladies
That torment the content of your carnality.
My cure is simple,
To reinvent you with mystery.
For who knows what kind of calamity grows
When you assume and suppose.
Nothing is guaranteed until all doubts are freed.
So please ponder your mundane disease
And make a decision to live life off your knees.
Many locks will be picked with this promise.
My offer will expire
When the moon is fully lit.
I will not pursue the matter any further
And I will have no regrets.
If you feel my sincerity carries secret shadows,
The life of your book would have been shut by now.
But you live because I practice charity.
