Calm The Storm Inside
My heart is pounding, my breaths come fast.
Each step I take may be my last.
The night’s dark arms encircle me with cold.
With every step I become more bold.
The landscape blurs, I feel as if I could fly.
To the prison called my family I have said goodbye.
The elation slows, it slowly goes.
The night helps me hide, it never shows.
I fall to my knees, a cry escaping out.
Now the adrenaline is gone, I am racked with doubt.
The knife does glint in the pale cold moon.
Death’s cold laugh promises me soon.
My blood is dark against my pale skin.
The ice-cold hate melts within.
A final tear falls, peace settles on me warm.
My world goes dark as Death finally silences the storm.
Each step I take may be my last.
The night’s dark arms encircle me with cold.
With every step I become more bold.
The landscape blurs, I feel as if I could fly.
To the prison called my family I have said goodbye.
