innocence

A young strong love that wasn't meant to be
For your innocence did not belong to me

Something you have fought so hard to hold
Has left me feeling rather cold

Me and you cannot share the same sight
For mine is dark and yours full of light

You say that you are ready to go
But deep down I know that I am truly your foe

You tell me I am too blind to see
But trust me it is your destiny

I wish you could understand
That a better man deserves your hand

You say you can go without
But that is just your lust coming out

For someone like you with a love so pure
I can assure you that my broken soul is not your cure

Now turn around and return to light
As I am slowly swallowed by the night

A light that I lost long ago
A light that I no longer know

I remember the time I once had your soul
Now there is nothing that can fill this hole

An innocence I lost far to soon
Now I am no brighter than the moon

As the moon reflects the suns rays
I reflect your light which reminds me of my innocent days

Now quick before you are exposed to the harshness of reality
Put your cloths on and leave before your life becomes a tragedy
