Lusts Of The Gargoyle
As you lie there,
in your sleep,
I see your skin.
frigid and rough,
from the chill in the air.
I want so much,
to lay next to you,
put your blanket over your shoulders,
and wrap you in my arms,
keep you warm through the night.
Im cast,
in a stare of stone,
lost in deep thought,
and eternally frozen in time.
I cannot move,
cannot breathe,
forced to stare from here,
and never leave.
I pray to no one,
that one day,
you'll gaze up from your window,
and see me guarding you.
for now I will watch,
and love you,
from up here,
across the way.
in your sleep,
I see your skin.
frigid and rough,
from the chill in the air.
I want so much,
to lay next to you,
put your blanket over your shoulders,
and wrap you in my arms,
keep you warm through the night.
Im cast,
in a stare of stone,
lost in deep thought,
and eternally frozen in time.
I cannot move,
cannot breathe,
forced to stare from here,
and never leave.
I pray to no one,
that one day,
you'll gaze up from your window,
and see me guarding you.
for now I will watch,
and love you,
from up here,
across the way.
