My Friend
You make me see things I ignore
Help me face all that I abhor
Demand I reach for so much more
You're my friend
I will probably always make mistakes
I might not reach for all I can take
But even angels can fall from grace
You're still my friend
I may fall and not want to get up
Cry and shout that I've had enough
But you're there to give me a shove
Because you're my friend
It's not perfect but neither is life
We all have struggles and strife
No matter what we will survive
We are friends

Loving the repetitive broken rhyme scheme, and the repetition in general. It's rare that I enjoy Upbeat category poems, but this one has it's place in my heart.

One of those poems that is simple in some way but is filled with emotions. This is awesome, well, nothing surprising about that. :)
