under the weather

It rains.
She's unwillingly staring outside the window and wondering.
Where did I lost my transparent self, in the name of what?
She thinks, what a distorted love
to live on the dirt and drugged up, careless hugs.
It rains.
The world turns from grey, to blue and back blank again.
He sighs, realizing in mind
This is war. She is my enemy.
I cannot let her win.
It rains.
The time is ticking, or it seems to
and the evening remains unchanged.
She thinks, maybe i should just leave it all
but comes back every night hoping for love.
It rains.
He wraps her heart around his fist.
Mine, he whispers to herself and she hears it.
The war goes on, as long as you've got somebody to win.
And she is here. All along.
It rains.
The loneliness wraps her skinny arms around her
pulls closer into her inner void and it's cold.
Deadly cold. She stayed with her, tonight.
How long does it take to freeze to death?
It rains.
He waited, listening to the drumming water on the window
quarters of hours passed by him, settling shade of his thought
just above the smoke filling up the room. She didn't come.
And they both knew, this time she won.
