Sonnet for the beast within
Fear floods through the midnight skies
Lunar catchment waxing full
Until thrice monthly mortal eyes
see the signs so fight the pull
Down he soars from silver sun
Starved, insane with captive rage
Human frailty wills to run
but sole holds soul in monster’s cage
Teeth and tongue do Devil deeds
beneath the bitter, swollen moon
Poison bites plant evil seeds
All forgot in waking noon
And still beyond the wolf refrain
a tender human doth remain.[/font]
