Gnarled Roots & Poisoned Tongues (WIP)
the flashing orbs of fireflies
kept us lingering on course
but thick gnarled roots
lead us forever astray.
wisdom in the roots filled the mind
with strength to carry on
as poisoned tongues spat
twisted words of venom.
the elixir entered to
wreck havoc on the veins
taking a never ending toll
placing a plague upon us all.
