a family

The forgotten one
It’s difficult to see,
But easy for me,
The grief, the pain
Again and again
Waiting for someone to take me away
Waiting for someone to change my day
My future, my life of poverty
Where will this path take me?
Drugs and sex to ease the hurt,
Early death an absolute cert,
No one to listen, to bid me good day,
No one to make me want to stay,
I just want a family so I can begin to mend,
So I can believe in more and have a friend.
