Not A Show

Do you seem them charging across the stage
Red lights waving frantically
Enticing anger and hysteria
Bull like creatures tied by wires
Performing to a frantic audience
Amidst all the chanting and applause
What was listened to?
Was anything felt other than excitement, or hatred
I enjoyed that show too
But It didn't stand out
How could it when so much else was going on
So little was really picked up on
Do you see them stood solemnly
Lights dimmed and gentle
Enticing subtle feelings and memories
Graceful creatures beside coiled wires
Playing to an appreciative crowd
Amidst the occasional hushed cough and footstep
Music was listened to
Hearts were lifted to hold up slumped heads
I don't think anyone enjoyed that show
I don't believe it was a show
It stood out
And we'd all step back in
