The End.
They say the good
thing about rock bottom
is that from there,
you can only go up.
Yet as I gaze back
at where I used to be,
I can only think
"The road that got
me here was long enough."
Im tired of picking
up the pieces they
all carelessly left behind
Im sick of getting back up
and pretending
everything is fine
I think of our first kiss
and hate every
second of that lie.
I wish I would have known
the moon was just
the perfect light
to hide the seams
of your disguise
I feel head over heels
while you were
distant, cold, and unreal.
I did everything
I thought would
keep you satisfied
But still I was
left heartbroken
with no chance
of it being rectified.
