Forever

Across the world blows a gentle breeze.
Taken a life, to set it free.
Tears they flood with disbelief.
You left this world, and took a part of me.

I find that the sun in my world has gone.
Not set, but left for infinite years to come.
The clouds they shrivel into specs of dust.
You're better off in hands of fate, in this I place my trust.

Back to years of fighting off the pain.
With you my heart had no restraints.
Your love was strong, with or without fame.
You made me who I am, you played the game without shame.

A fire that glimmered in your eyes.
The delight that only you could bring to my life.
Your bright heart could fill the world with light.
A heart so big, you'd ignite the night and fought the truth with all your might.

The angels song of death, they're singing.
I blink my eyes and soon find that you're missing.
So far away from us, the bells are ringing.
Mourning, all the times that you've inspired me to walk instead of fall.
You're gone from my sight, but not my heart.
Inside there you're forever living.
