My Lady

She is as warm and fair as summer air.
My heart is full and bereft of care.
I shall always hold her near.
She is my Lady, my love, my dear.

We meet with an unspoken word,
Almost a knowing unheard.
We smile and caress
As our passions progress.

We are complex as fire and ice.
I fear that my heart will not suffice
To hold her to my loyal will
Or keep her hunger still.

I lay inside her as if unborn.
Without her I am torn...
We move almost as one
Until both our strength is gone.

She stays in my arms
Displaying her charms.
We kiss
And nothing is amiss.

My Lady is my one and my all.
My reason to fall
From grace,
My reason to lose face.

Sleep beckons as the sandman calls.
And so she falls.
A single tear spills from her eye.
It falls like an angel from on high.

It splashes the soft white
But is lost in the night.
I watch as sleep takes her
And vow never to forsake her.

As I am taken by ethereal dark
A thought occurs to me so stark;
She is me,I am her.
She is my Lady, my love, my dear.
