The Things That We Regret
Something's heavy on my soul
My heart it weighs a ton
Consequences take their toll
For a night of harmless fun
Ill be the one to face the truth
When all is said and done
For when your conscience comes for you
There's nowhere left to run
We don't know why we do the things
We wish we wouldn't do
We never stop to think about
The mess it turns into
All the answers that we seek
We haven't found them yet
They must be buried deep beneath
The things that we regret.
My heart it weighs a ton
Consequences take their toll
For a night of harmless fun
Ill be the one to face the truth
When all is said and done
For when your conscience comes for you
There's nowhere left to run
We don't know why we do the things
We wish we wouldn't do
We never stop to think about
The mess it turns into
All the answers that we seek
We haven't found them yet
They must be buried deep beneath
The things that we regret.
