The sleeping Usher
Retired to bed for the day at noon
Daydreaming, I saved myself nightmares
Reminiscing through my weaknesses
I was gonna stay vigil at the sanctuary
But this one usher
A pin in the neck of sleep
Fresh for the nights spiritual warfare
I sent sleep on exile for some jiffy hours
Though it came back and knocked off warlords
The usher restored them to their war zones
But this one usher
He looked liked he had murdered all his sleep
His eyes never blinked like he paused them
But sleep came like a thief and stole him forever
It pushed him through the window
He fell, he never woke up again.
Yes this one usher
Now who is guilty of sleeping in church?
Yes this one usher
Cought by sleep and sentenced to sleeping
He never woke up
I pray he did in Heaven
Daydreaming, I saved myself nightmares
Reminiscing through my weaknesses
I was gonna stay vigil at the sanctuary
But this one usher
A pin in the neck of sleep
Fresh for the nights spiritual warfare
I sent sleep on exile for some jiffy hours
Though it came back and knocked off warlords
The usher restored them to their war zones
But this one usher
He looked liked he had murdered all his sleep
His eyes never blinked like he paused them
But sleep came like a thief and stole him forever
It pushed him through the window
He fell, he never woke up again.
Yes this one usher
Now who is guilty of sleeping in church?
Yes this one usher
Cought by sleep and sentenced to sleeping
He never woke up
I pray he did in Heaven
