A Ghazal, my Love

 Pure, true was our existence back then, my love.
Through many tribulations, we fared, my love.

Your loud silences, almond angel- eyed looks,
And tender touches showed you cared, my love.

Understand that earthly time cannot separate us,
Or weaken the bond we shared, my love.

In stolen moments, filled with youthful abandonment,
Our naked souls we bared, my love.

So many lifetimes before us, and many more to come,
As soul mates, is where God has us paired, my love.

Throwing caution to the wind, we flew on magic carpets,
For that blow, we weren't prepared, my love.

Waves of emotion surging, confusion rising and through it,
To fall in love is what we dared, my Love.
