Morningstar: Malcontent Eidolons
Madness grows like a cancer
Spreading to devour
Everything in its path
A broken mind, godless
Set to decay
Sees only betrayal
And misery
The creator, so powerful
With the universe in his hand
Spins it around to see
The blessed and the damned
So attuned and self-righteous
All seeing but all that he sees
Are broken glass shards
Lord, what is your decree?
Ever since my great falling from
Heavenly spires laced with gold
His heart has grown darker
With love turning to mold
Envious of Faith’s captured heart
Lamenting of the mourning cries
And now I wonder
What it’s like when God dies?
A touch of Sin
So it begins
Pride and wrath
Upon the path
No salvation
A touch of Sin
When madness grins
Pride and wrath
Upon the path
To damnation
Those haunted visions, eidolons
Whispering shadow treachery
Those cold blades in the back
Are stabbing silently with ease
Brooding seraphim blasphemers
Offering council of the wise
Awaiting the day
The plan of Yahweh’s demise
Those self-centered with malcontent
Always seeking the holy throne
At a moment’s notice
Take the seat, cast away his bones
A mad god deserving nothing
The days are fading in His plight
Into the abyss
This is the end
When God dies
A touch of Sin
So it begins
Pride and wrath
Upon the path
No salvation
A touch of Sin
When madness grins
Pride and wrath
Upon the path
To damnation
On this day
In the year of our Lord
Place the pieces
Casting of the board
The ending turn
Checkmate revealed
Tally the vote
And see you in Hell
When all other stars fade out
I will remain
The Morningstar,
Constant and
Vigilant
Eternal in my grief
