Drifting, Drifting Away
For E,
I remember that day
Yes, you know what I speak of
The morning you said you could take no more
The day you closed your heart's door
No longer having desire for life
No longer longing to exert strife
By all my knowledge, I thought you were dead
Thank God, you were only resting your head
But still the scars remain on your arms
Your wrist, your legs, still you harm
I cannot stop you, I cannot change
The way you are, your feeling of pain
I see you drifting, drifting away
Apart from the world, you stand alone
You and the scars you condone
I love you, foREVer.
