Genesis

A sparrow emerges from a netherworld nexus

The unhinged jaw of Menes, first chosen Pharaoh

To flutter its wings into the future, spreading the mysteries on numinous winds

Scarab beetle burrows into sand to plant the seeds of solvent secrets

Emperor's hands in a clasp embracing the ornate figurine receiving breath of life

Hiding tomes, some still unknown, unearthed by the rake of time

In elegant swagger the Abyssinian cat strides forth to teach the wiles of seduction

Appearing in a plume of smoke between jade laced legs of fashioned stone

Purring among untold treasures, feline oval eyes always half closed, the lids heavy from pleasure

Sensuous cycles of our sun

Never to be one, with my love, always fleeing moon

Seal from the seventh son of a seventh son

I sing to the universe with all my heart though she never hears the tune
