Maledictus Elysium

Like a fleeting wisp on the wind
You are gone like a faithless wraith
Less than the other shadows
Which consume you

This flower is devoured
By crimson lips deflowered
On an altar of sacrifice
It will not suffice
Any longer

Elysium seems so empty
Without you here
Delirium fills darkened thoughts
Inside me here

Floating on the boulevard
Just above the bleeding glass shards
Reflecting back on memories
Which forget you

The tower has a prowler
As the loup garou cower
Behind altars of fallen gods
Dedicated frauds
Trespass here

The inferno seems so ready
To embrace me
Those nocturnal eyes see all
My sins displayed

A beauty beget from
The gardens of Hesperides
Taunting me from
The gates of Tartarus
The meadows of Asphodel
Hold no wonders for you

Elysium seems so empty
Without you here
Delirium fills darkened thoughts
Inside me here

I'm not much of a Were fan, more like a nosferatu. . .but you've captured something brilliant here in this piece particularly the stanza in quote which I believe ties this poem together. Enjoyed. Devlin.
